When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP by June 12! Head over otherwise the RSVP page to provide your confirmation or offer your regrets and indicate any dietary restrictions or food allergies we can accommodate during the weekend.
If you happen to need to change your RSVP after submitting it, please contact us directly at abwedding@whileys.ca.
What is the dress code?
The dress code for our Welcome Party on Friday, August 21 is Coastal Cocktail.
The dress code for our Wedding Ceremony and Reception on Saturday, August 22 is Formal Attire.
There is no dress code for the Bon Voyage Brunch on Sunday, August 23. Wear whatever makes you comfortable and come as you are!
Please note that (weather permitting) we will be outside and on grass on all three days so ensure you choose appropriate footwear!
Do I get a plus one?
Please check your invitation for the names of the specific guests invited.
Is there a room block?
Yes! We have arranged room blocks at The Quarterdeck Resort and the Best Western Liverpool. Please see the Accommodations page for more details!
Do I need to rent a car?
Port Mouton is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes southwest of Halifax, where you’ll find the nearest major airport (Halifax Stanfield International Airport, YHZ). We recommend renting a car so that you can explore on your way to Port Mouton! Please note that there is limited taxi service in the Port Mouton region and you are unlikely to find cars on ride-share apps like Uber outside of Halifax. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you’re uncertain about getting to the Port Mouton area!
What will the weather be like?
Nova Scotia summers are warm during the day and cool at night, so we recommend a light wrap to cover bare shoulders and sunglasses for the outdoor ceremony. Typical temperatures in late August are highs of 23°C and lows of 14°C. Weather on the coast can be a bit unpredictable, so we can expect sunshine, rain, and everything in between.
How do we get to the wedding events? Is there a shuttle?
We will provide a shuttle service to transport everyone to and from Bull Point Estate on Friday evening for the Welcome Party and on Saturday afternoon and night for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception. Please stay tuned for specific details about pick-up and drop-off times!
Alternately, if you would prefer to drive yourself to Bull Point Estate, there is lots of parking on site.
Will you be able to accommodate my dietary restrictions/allergies?
We will have entrée options that accommodate guests with dietary restrictions such as vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free diets. Our cocktail-hour canapés will be clearly marked if they’re allergy friendly (and there’ll be multiple allergy-friendly options!). Please share your allergies and dietary instructions in the designated section of your RSVP so we can be sure to accommodate your needs.
Is there a gift registry?
Your presence is gift enough! We greatly appreciate you travelling to celebrate with us. Because we have shared a home for almost a decade and have everything and anything we could need, we would be grateful for gifts that contribute to our honeymoon.
